Privacy Policy

CoverCalc is a free calculator. We don't ask you to sign up, and the numbers you type never leave your browser.

The short version

The paint calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your room measurements are not sent to us, stored, or shared. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect

Nothing you type into the calculator. All math happens on your device.

Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically records standard technical data when you load a page — your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. Cloudflare uses this to serve the site securely and to protect against abuse. We use aggregate, anonymized traffic counts to understand which pages are useful. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Email you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message so we can reply. We don't add you to any mailing list.

Cookies

CoverCalc itself does not set tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie. When you click an affiliate link, the destination site (for example Amazon) sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy — see the next section.

Affiliate links and third parties

Some links on this site are affiliate links. CoverCalc is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click an Amazon link, Amazon may place a cookie so that purchases you make within a set window are credited to CoverCalc. We receive commission reports from Amazon, but never your name, address, or what you bought.

The "Get free painter quotes" button sends you to Networx, a contractor-matching service. Anything you enter on their site is governed by Networx's privacy policy, not ours. We may receive a referral fee when you submit a quote request. Read our full affiliate disclosure.

Children

CoverCalc is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we hold almost no personal data, there is usually nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence removed, or you have any privacy question — including requests under the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act — contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
